Faith. Family. Work.

Treated like family, not like a number

Every customer who works with us is treated like family — not a number, not a contract, but a neighbor whose land and trust we take seriously. That is not a slogan we put on the truck. It is part of how we work toward the bigger goal: making a Kingdom impact through the way customers are treated.

Anyone who owns land in North Texas understands how quickly cedar and mesquite can take over. Open pasture becomes dense brush before you know it, and land that should be working for you starts working against you. Y 5 Land Services was built to solve that problem. We bring professional-grade forestry mulching equipment and a work ethic rooted in our Christian faith to every job we take — and we do not leave until the work is done right.

Meet Zach Young

I live in Weatherford with my wife and our three kids. Before starting Y 5, I spent more than a decade working in the power and steel industries. That experience taught me the value of hard work, doing things the right way, and taking pride in the work you put your name on.

My faith in Jesus Christ and my family are at the center of my life and the reason behind a lot of what we’re building at Y 5. I wanted to create a business that reflects those values – one that serves people well, provides good jobs, and gives us the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others.

For me, Y 5 is about more than clearing land. It’s about building relationships, treating people right, and doing what we say we’re going to do. As Y 5 grows, my hope is to honor God through our work, share the good news of Jesus Christ with others, and build a company that has a positive impact on the people and communities around us.

How we work

We specialize in forestry mulching, which means vegetation is ground in place and left as a natural mulch layer. No burn piles, no hauling, and a method that helps minimize ground disturbance. Every job is quoted at a fixed price before work begins, so there are no surprises when the job is complete. No hidden fees, no hourly billing, no fine print. We stand behind our quotes, our work, and our word.

Whether you are a rancher working to reclaim productive pasture, a landowner preparing property for development, a hunter improving habitat, or simply someone who needs overgrown land brought back under control — we are the crew for the job.

Our values

• Faith. Our faith in Jesus Christ is at the heart of Y 5. We want it to show in the way we work, the way we treat people, and the way we serve others. Our goal is simple: honor God, love people well, and use the opportunities He gives us to share the good news of Jesus Christ.
• Family. Family is a big part of why we started Y 5. We want to treat our customers and our team like we’d want our own family treated – with honesty, respect, and care.
• Work. Hard work is one of Y 5’s core values. We take the job seriously, communicate clearly, and work to deliver what was agreed on.

We are grateful for every customer who trusts us with their land, and we do not take that responsibility lightly. If you are ready to get your property working for you again, we would love to earn that opportunity.

Love God. Love People. Clear Brush.
