Right-of-Way & Easement Clearing in North Texas
Rights-of-way and easements have to stay open — for utility access, for pipeline inspection, for a shared driveway, or simply so you can get to the back of your own place. Y 5 Land Services clears corridors with a forestry mulcher, which means a clean strip with the vegetation ground in place, no piles left along the line, and vegetation cleared from the surface without the excavation involved in traditional clearing methods.

Right-of-way clearing done with a light footprint
Corridors often run over buried utilities, along creek crossings, and across neighbors’ land. A tracked mulcher can be a good fit for that type of work. It spreads the machine’s weight across the tracks, works at the surface rather than excavating, and leaves the mulched material on the ground, which can help cover exposed soil and reduce disturbance compared with more excavation-heavy clearing methods.
We clear to the width you specify and keep a straight, consistent edge.

Working with landowners, operators, and contractors
Right-of-way clearing can support landowners, fencing work, survey access, and other projects that need a corridor opened. Every project gets a fixed price up front, and Y 5 is insured.
What’s included
- Corridor cleared to a specified width with a clean, straight edge
- Vegetation mulched in place — nothing left in windrows along the line
- Surface clearing without the excavation of traditional methods
- Fixed price, with timing discussed as part of the quote
Fixed price, every time. I walk the property, give you one number, and that number does not change because the brush was thicker than expected.
Questions
Right-of-Way Clearing FAQ
How wide can you clear a right-of-way?
That depends on what the corridor is for and what the property allows. We set the width together on the walkthrough, whether it is a narrow fence-line strip or a wider utility or access corridor, and agree on the edges before we start so it stays consistent end to end.
Is mulching safe over buried pipelines and utilities?
Forestry mulching works primarily at the surface, grinding standing vegetation rather than excavating the corridor. Having utilities located through Texas 811 before work starts is the property owner’s responsibility unless we agree otherwise, and we stay well clear of any marked risers, valves, or markers.
